FAQs for Sales and Delivery
New to Well Stoned at Vertigrow! If you are buying from us for the first time here are a few things you may like to know:
We pride ourselves on our customer service. We know that entering a stone merchants yard can seem a little daunting if you aren’t in the trade. That is why whichever yard you visit our staff will greet you with a friendly smile.
What have you in mind? Can I help? Our small but well trained team will offer help and advice on paving and products, and answer any questions you have regarding product choice, availability and delivery. If you just came for a browse and a little inspiration we will leave you to it, just let us know if you need us, we wont be far away.
Well Stoned at Vertigrow offer a personal sales service. We are happy to walk around the yard with you and give our opinion on products that would suit your property. If you wish one of our team will liaise with you via whatsapp. giving you every assistance by providing pictures, measurements and delivery quotes. We provide this option to give continuity of service, from initial enquiry to delivery we are there for you.
Can I take pictures of products? We know that the variety of stock can be quite overwhelming and that you probably weren’t expecting to find that perfect piece today. You are welcome to take pictures of products to help you decide on a purchase, share with your significant other or family members when buying together. Or if you just want to tell Facebook friends or Instagram followers how great our products are you are more than welcome!
So you have made your choice. What happens next?
Where do I pay? Payment is prefered by card or bank transfer for larger purchases, please pay our sales team in our yard not at the main Vertigrow till.
Paying by Instalments: We offer the option to pay over three equal instalments (at no extra cost). The first payment secures the item which will be marked as sold. The second payment you pay whenever you are ready. The balance will be to pay when delivery is booked (products only, excludes building materials).
Pre-Orders: If you have seen an item in our yard and it is marked sold it may be available to pre-order (excludes reclaimed items). Talk to a member of staff to request a quote for available to pre-order items. If you decide to go ahead a non refundable 50% deposit will be required, the balance will be to pay when delivery is booked.
Pick Up: Landscapers with their own vehicle and equipment on site are welcome to arrange pick up from our yard on a pre-arranged day. Our sales team are only available to help with your purchase, unfortunately not all have a fork lift licence.
Local Delivery Service: We will offer two delivery options, kerbside and a price for placing items in situ. ‘Kerbside Delivery’ is priced on distance, whereas ‘In Situ Delivery’ is priced on size and weight of the item, ease of access and distance. One of our team will liaise with you via whatsapp. Please assist them by providing access pictures of the route from kerb to final destination, measure the narrowest point and make us aware of ground surfaces, steps, patio or lawn etc. which we have to negotiate on route; Enabling us to bring the right equipment and manpower for the job.
Nationwide Palleted Delivery: So you came to York on holiday and found quite a souvenir, too big for the boot. No worries! A nationwide delivery option is available for most items, items no larger than a standard pallet. We offer a palleted kerbside delivery which averages £100 -120 inside the UK mainland. Talk to one of our team for a delivery quote.
Internet Enquiries: To check stock availability and arrange a delivery quote, call the main Leeds yard number: 01132 655556 and talk to one of our sales team. Multiple items can be placed on one pallet for delivery, just something to bear in mind!
